"Kazuho" White Bamboo Chasen – Handcrafted Matcha Whisk
Product description
The Kazuho is not just a matcha whisk — it's a direct line to the centuries-old craft of Japanese chasen making.
Shaped from natural white bamboo, the Kazuho's craftsmanship follows the same tradition used by the master craftsmen in Takayama, Japan – the birthplace of the chasen.
Its 80 precision-split tines fan out to break up matcha powder with effortless efficiency, producing a silky, lump-free bowl with a thick, even froth that flat whisks and machine frothers simply can't replicate.
White bamboo is the original material of the chasen. Flexible, responsive, and time-tested, it produces a fine, consistent froth that brings out the depth of any matcha – from everyday ceremonial grade to your finest single-harvest bowl.
What sets the Kazuho apart:
- Natural white bamboo: the traditional material of Japanese tea ceremony, prized for its flexibility and fine froth production
- 80 precision-split tines: finely hand-crafted to produce a silky, lump-free matcha every time
- Engraved handle: featuring brut tea's signature squirrel design
Storage canister included – a complete matcha whisk set to protect and preserve your chasen between uses
Handcrafted in Anji, Zhejiang – shaped by the same techniques that have defined matcha culture for over 500 years.
Whether you're picking up a matcha brush for the first time or refining a daily practice, the Kazuho gives you the real thing.
