LAN Shaoxing Matcha Tin 80g | Nutty, Umami-rich
Product description
Our Founders' Collection explores the diversity of China's matcha-growing regions, each shaped by its own landscape, climate and tea heritage.
Set among the waterways and fertile landscapes of Shaoxing, Zhejiang, this region is part of Jiangnan, a historic area in eastern China known for its rivers, canals and rich tea culture. Here, the rhythm of the seasons and the surrounding landscape shape a distinctive expression of Chinese tea.
Inspired by the natural elegance of this region, LAN takes its name from the word for orchid (兰), a symbol of refinement and quiet strength in Chinese culture. It is our tribute to the understated beauty of Jiangnan and the character of its spring tea.
Crafted from a blend of Longjing 43, the celebrated cultivar behind China's most prized green tea, and Yabukita, Japan's best-known matcha cultivar, LAN brings together the strengths of both traditions. Made from first-harvest spring leaves, it delivers a rich, umami-forward profile with comforting notes of roasted chestnuts, sweetcorn and asparagus. Naturally sweet and beautifully rounded, it makes for a smooth, full-bodied cup that is equally enjoyable on its own or in a latte.
Presented in a reusable double-lidded stainless steel tin, it is designed to protect the freshness of matcha while becoming a timeless addition to your kitchen.
