Matcha Meets Clay: Matcha Barista Experience & “Stamp it out” Pottery Class

Join us for a relaxed, hands-on workshop where matcha culture meets playful ceramics. Over two hours, you’ll learn to craft your own matcha drink like a barista and design a personalised clay cup to enjoy it in.

The Matcha Barista Experience (50 min)

The matcha session is led by brut tea, a London-based independent matcha and tea brand supplying over 50+ coffee shops and matcha bars across the city.

In this hands-on session, you’ll discover what makes great matcha and learn how to prepare café-quality matcha drinks yourself.

Your host will guide you through:

• What matcha is, how it’s grown and why quality matters
• How to whisk and prepare matcha properly
• How different milks and flavours affect the final drink
• How to balance ingredients to create your own favourite matcha combination

You’ll then create your own 12oz personalised matcha drink to enjoy.

• Black sesame

Syrups available:
• Vanilla
• White chocolate

Milk options:
• Cow’s milk
• Oat milk
• Coconut milk

You'll also receive simple recipes so you can recreate your favourite drinks at home.

The Pottery Experience: Stamp and Paint Your Cup (60 min)

In the pottery session, you’ll create your own unique clay cup using fun stamping and imprint techniques.

Choose from a wide selection of stamps and 21 vibrant colours to decorate and personalise your design. With friendly step-by-step guidance, you’ll shape, stamp and paint a cup that’s completely your own.

No experience with clay is needed. Just bring your creativity.

Your Finished Piece:
After the workshop, your tea cup will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired twice to ensure it’s food-safe and ready for tea rituals at home. It usually takes about 5 weeks before it's ready.
