Our Founders' Collection begins where the story of matcha (抹茶, powdered tea) first unfolded.

Nestled among the pine-covered hills of Mt. Jingshan in Zhejiang, Jingshan Temple is widely regarded as the birthplace of whisked powdered tea during the Song dynasty. Centuries ago, monks here gathered around bowls of finely milled tea as part of their Zen practice.

Inspired by this heritage, SONG is our tribute to both the Song dynasty and the quiet pine forests surrounding the mountain today.

Crafted from a blend of Longjing 43, the celebrated cultivar behind China's most prized green tea, and Yabukita, Japan's best-known matcha cultivar, SONG brings together the strengths of both traditions. The result is a matcha that is clean and creamy, with gentle vegetal sweetness and a smooth finish that shines equally well on its own or in a latte.
